ABOUT
Our Foundation: Built on Trust and Excellence
Based in Asheboro and rooted in the heart of Statesville, NC, Statesville Stained Glass Services is dedicated to the masterful restoration and preservation of historic church windows. With a virtually unlimited service area— with ongoing projects from New Jersey to South Florida to Texas and Arizona—we bring decades of specialized expertise directly to your sanctuary. Our mission is to protect the structural integrity and inspirational beauty of liturgical glass through traditional re-leading, custom design, and advanced protective glazing. Whether you are a local congregation or a historic estate, we are your partners in preserving light and legacy for the next generation.
Our Process
We make restoration simple for your leadership team. From the initial structural assessment and committee documentation to studio re‑leading and final installation, we keep you informed at every step. Our team is always available to answer questions throughout the project. The goal is a seamless preservation process that keeps your building secure and your history intact.
Assessment & Consultation
Every project begins with a conversation. We understand how difficult it can be to describe what you’re seeing in your windows. We’ll talk through your concerns—whether it’s bowing, cracked glass, or fading lead—and schedule an on‑site structural assessment. Our goal is to give you peace of mind and the confidence that an experienced professional has evaluated your needs. You’ll receive a detailed report and a clear project roadmap your committee can use for budgeting and approval.

Removal & Transport
Once approved, we carefully document and remove the windows from your sanctuary. We install secure, weather-tight temporary glazing in the openings so your building remains protected and functional while your historic glass travels safely to our studio.

Studio Restoration
This is where the magic happens. We begin by blueprinting your windows, then gently disassembling them so every single piece of glass can be inspected, cleaned, and evaluated. If a piece is cracked or broken, our artisans decide the most respectful way to repair or replace it. When a painted piece needs to be recreated, our artists—known for their ability to match historic artwork—replicate it with remarkable accuracy. The window is then rebuilt with new lead came and reinforced with carefully welded steel bars for long‑term stability.

Installation & Protection
We return to your site to hand‑install your restored windows. If you’ve selected outer protective coverings—acrylic, polycarbonate, laminated glass, tempered glass, or another option—they are installed at this stage. Whether your windows are single‑glazed stained glass or double‑glazed with protective coverings, you can have confidence that your installation is fully sealed and warranted against the elements.
