1. Service Scope
We provide stained glass restoration, structural repair, and protective glazing services. Each project begins with a professional assessment. While we strive for absolute accuracy in our evaluations, the delicate and historic nature of stained glass may reveal secondary structural issues once work has commenced. We will always notify the client before proceeding with any work outside the original scope.
2. Travel & On-Site Assessments
We serve the entire East Coast, from New Jersey to South Florida. While we provide free initial consultations in the Statesville and Asheboro regions, projects requiring significant travel may incur a travel fee, which will be disclosed and agreed upon before we depart for your location.
3. Estimates and Payments
Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Due to the custom nature of our materials (hand-poured glass and specialized lead), a deposit is typically required to secure materials and schedule studio time. Final payment is due upon the successful completion and installation of the project.
4. Care and Liability
Stained glass is inherently fragile. We use industry-standard preservation techniques to ensure the safety of your windows. However, Statesville Stained Glass Services is not liable for pre-existing glass fatigue, inherent structural flaws in the building’s framing, or damage caused by environmental factors (like storm damage) occurring before or after our specific restoration work.
5. Protective Coverings
Our polycarbonate and glass protective coverings are installed with integrated venting systems. We are not responsible for moisture or heat damage to windows where a client explicitly requests a non-vented installation against our professional recommendation.
6. Intellectual Property
All custom designs, drawings, and photographs created by Statesville Stained Glass Services remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed upon in a written contract. We reserve the right to use photographs of our completed work for marketing and portfolio purposes.
